There is one part of being single that I find quite challenging. The waiting is hard; but the most challenging is the men in your life.
Being single, as long as I have, I have found many a man that I have been interested in. They come.....and they go! They come into your life; you are attracted to them; you find them easy to talk to, and they have a great sense of humor; they love the Lord, so on and so on.
These men are the one's you start thinking that this is the "one" you've been waiting for. Then you, either, lose interest in them because you found that they aren't exactly what you want; or they start dating or courting someone else, when you thought they were interested in you; or they are much younger than you and you can't wrap your head around being with them; or it's one of those men that you just can't get out of your mind, and it's the long drawn out process of liking them for so long that it will come to complete heartache, AGAIN! Well, at the moment, I'm dealing with one of these areas....and no doubt it might end up, yet again, that this man is not who God has chosen for me.
I have come to find that throughout these years, I have become prone to this constant merry-go-round that I feel nothing will change; that I will be single forever and will continue this monotonous ride. But.......I hear God's promise to me that this will not go on forever. Sometimes I find doubt in His promise and lose hope. Oh how much I don't want to do that to my God! But He lifts me up after everytime I lift up my sorrows to Him, and I once again find hope in His promise.
As you read this post, play the video below. I was inspired by this song to create a post that will be a reminder to us all of what this season means. I sure wish I could be blogging more these days, but I don’t have any time with the Holiday Craft Fair approaching. I have been sewing with every spare time I have, and then some. I have decided to not go to our next ball, and have been missing some ECD classes. It’s sad, I know, but this fair is more important right now. Mrs. F., who is doing this me, will be selling her jewelry…did I already tell you that? Anyway, she and I talked yesterday and found out she will be making her Caramel Corn to sell also!! Yumminess!! Also, I do ask that you please pray for her mother. Her doctor found a tumor on her liver. They aren’t sure if it’s cancer; but since she has had cancer a couple years ago, her family is almost sure it is cancer. They will find out in 2 weeks what it is. Please pray for peace that transcends all understanding for her, and the rest of the family. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PIZZA CRUST RECIPE A...
On Mother's Day weekend, I went to Bend for Annika's 4th Birthday! I missed last year's because of Mother's Day. I asked my mom if it was okay with her if I went to Annika's Birthday Party, since I haven't seen them in so long and because of missing last years. Of course, she said "yes". And yes, I made it back in time to let my mom know that I love her! This is Annika when she turned 3, last year. It was so great to see the family! But the biggest change was Eli!! Wow, he grew up! But a few things haven't changed with him too, which made me realize he was the same Eli! I also got to chat with my friend, Megan, who is now their nanny! They are blessed to have her, and vice versa! While the kids were having their Birthday fun, Megan and I got caught up since last we saw each other. She shared pictures of when she was in Germany, being a nanny. Quite an adventure and learning experience for her! Annika had a princess party, which I believe was ...
