I found this comic years ago and loved it, so I cut it out to use it as a Christmas decoration!  It’s on our refrigerator at this very moment.  Some of my family love it, but some of them just don’t see the humor.  Oh well, I hope you enjoy it! T his Thanksgiving, my brother Bruce and sister Kristen, and their families, joined us.  Since Kristen and her family would not be joining us for Christmas, I decided to decorate as if it was Christmas for them!  Of course, I was more than happy to take on the task of decorating, especially for Christmas, my favorite time of year! O ne of my most favorite things to do (there I go with the word "favorite" again) is to decorate! To make a room pleasing to the eye, warm and inviting, comfortable to the touch, and a safe haven is what decorating means to me. To me, the first rule of decorating your home is to invite the Lord to live there, just as it is in your soul. "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15b It is He who is our comfort and safe haven! In knowing and understanding that, we know what we need to do to make our homes that place for family and friends, and for those who do not know Him! When it comes to my blog, I feel the same way. I decorate it the way that I decorate our home! I want you to feel at home, at ease, in friend's company......to be a warm and inviting place to enjoy reading about my life as if we are sitting down with a cup a tea, or latte (as some of you know me) talking about what's going on in my life, and what God is doing ...

I thought I'd share some pics of my my apartment since I will be moving soon. I have been packing, and realized I needed to take pics of it before I took everything down. You will see some boxes against the wall near the couch; so ignore those. So here it is.... My Apartment Building (my apartment is the top floor on the left, in the pic.) My Front Door I took these pics as if you were looking around the apartment. You open the door to the living room, and starting from the left, you scan it from front door all the way around to the dining room, kitchen, back to the living room to my bedroom. I found this canvas painting at Goodwill for $12! It's really beautiful! Kitchen When you enter the front door, this is what you see. I took this pic at an angle; not exactly from what you would see opening the door. You go thru the hallway and the bathroom is to your left, and the other bedroom straight ahead.
