On Mother's Day weekend, I went to Bend for Annika's 4th Birthday! I missed last year's because of Mother's Day. I asked my mom if it was okay with her if I went to Annika's Birthday Party, since I haven't seen them in so long and because of missing last years. Of course, she said "yes". And yes, I made it back in time to let my mom know that I love her! This is Annika when she turned 3, last year. It was so great to see the family! But the biggest change was Eli!! Wow, he grew up! But a few things haven't changed with him too, which made me realize he was the same Eli! I also got to chat with my friend, Megan, who is now their nanny! They are blessed to have her, and vice versa! While the kids were having their Birthday fun, Megan and I got caught up since last we saw each other. Well, today is the last day I will be Annika and Eli's nanny. It's quite bittersweet. I've been their nanny for 9 months. After the up's and down's of it all, it sure was worth the time to be here with them.

What is the life of Nanny? Oh......let's see. Feedings, messes, time-outs, silly games, singing songs (especially "The Patience Song"), dancing around, watching Dora the Explorar till you get every song stuck in your head, teaching "please" and "thank you for the food"...... I love what I do because it continues to teach me how I want to raise my children.
