The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today...
Outside my Window...the sky is blue with a few clouds and light wind, while my mother waters her flowers.
I am thinking...there are so many ways to make my yo-yo's into doilies!
I am thankful for...this busy summer!
From the kitchen...graham crackers, marshmallows and Hershey Bars! S'mores are on my mind!
I am creating...yo-yo doilies!
I am wearing...my pink lacey tank top underneath my brown tank top, and my most comfortable sweats. Don't forget the socks!
I am reading...The Revelation by Beverly Lewis. It is the 5th book of the Abram's Daughters series. I'm sure going to miss these characters when I'm done.
I am hoping...to lose 10 pounds in a months time.
I am hearing...Anne of Green Gables movie! Matthew just died. :(
Around the house...my yo-yo's are on the family room floor, while my cat is laying on the couch because my dad is varnishing the deck. Need to tidy up a bit.
One of my favorite things...is seeing God work throughout the day in every area!
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...ECD tonight with friends; sew up those yo-yo doilies and put them on my etsy shop; be a floater helper at our church VBS and help with the carnival; work; find fabric to make a dress for the upcoming Ball and Wedding; walk, walk, walk...

I'm not familiar with S'mores though they sound yummy!

Anne of Green Gables is a great movie! Have you seen the new book Before Green Gables? It's about Anne's early life before she arrives at Green Gables.

My Future Birthday Gift

T here’s a great advantage for working at an Antique Mall!! Of course one of those reasons is that you get to enjoy all those beautiful antiques. Another is that you get a employee discount. Well, the one advantages I love the most is that you get to pick your birthday gift, and everyone pitches in to get it for you! Just the other day I was making an inventory for someone who was looking for Beatrix Potter figurines. There’s a lot of those, by the way! They are soooo cute! Anyway, while I was writing down the info of one I found, something caught my eye. Do you want to see it?!! It was a Johnson Brothers “Old British Castles” Teapot. I picked it up “ooing” and “awing” over it, and found a price that seemed too good to be true!! Well, I had to put it down, knowing I could never get it, even if it was a great price. Craft Fair and other news

W ell, it’s been a busy 2 months, trying to get all those yo yo doiles I wanted to get done before the craft fair.  Phew!  I didn’t get all of them done, but found out it was okay because it was not a busy craft fair. D ue to the mis-advertising done by our local newspaper, and 2 BIG football games that weekend, it was slow.  But even if I didn’t get to sell as much as I wanted…which I was disappointed…it turned out to be a great time with my friend, Lisa.  We spent some quality time talking about EVERYTHING under the sun, plus just talking about what God’s been doing in our lives.  Also, we got to know some of the other vendors and enjoy their booths during breaks.  I sure wish I got photos of their booths…but here are my favorites: ~ Angelica Herbs :  www.angelicaherbsoforegon.com (this site it coming soon) ~ Cupboard of Blessings :  www.cupboardofblessings.com   ~ Paupers Candles :  www.pauperscandles.com ~ Candle, Bath and Spa :  www.candlebathandspa.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~
