Annika's Birthday

On Mother's Day weekend, I went to Bend for Annika's 4th Birthday! I missed last year's because of Mother's Day. I asked my mom if it was okay with her if I went to Annika's Birthday Party, since I haven't seen them in so long and because of missing last years. Of course, she said "yes". And yes, I made it back in time to let my mom know that I love her! <- This is Annika when she turned 3, last year. It was so great to see the family! But the biggest change was Eli!! Wow, he grew up! But a few things haven't changed with him too, which made me realize he was the same Eli! I also got to chat with my friend, Megan, who is now their nanny! They are blessed to have her, and vice versa! While the kids were having their Birthday fun, Megan and I got caught up since last we saw each other. She shared pictures of when she was in Germany, being a nanny. Quite an adventure and learning experience for her! Annika had a princess party, which I believe was the theme last year too. She is a girly-girl! Her parents said that she had her "Birthday dress" laying out a week or so before the party. They tried to put it away, but she just wouldn't have it! It was so funny how being gone 9 months made a difference on how she acted towards me. I'm used to the energetic little girl, but she was being shy during her party. But when I came to stay with them that night, she was the same Annika, which I was happy to see! Even though I only stayed a short while, it was hard to go! When I left their house, I felt like I was leaving them all over again. I'm looking forward to our next visit together!

My Future Birthday Gift

T here’s a great advantage for working at an Antique Mall!! Of course one of those reasons is that you get to enjoy all those beautiful antiques. Another is that you get a employee discount. Well, the one advantages I love the most is that you get to pick your birthday gift, and everyone pitches in to get it for you! Just the other day I was making an inventory for someone who was looking for Beatrix Potter figurines. There’s a lot of those, by the way! They are soooo cute! Anyway, while I was writing down the info of one I found, something caught my eye. Do you want to see it?!! It was a Johnson Brothers “Old British Castles” Teapot. I picked it up “ooing” and “awing” over it, and found a price that seemed too good to be true!! Well, I had to put it down, knowing I could never get it, even if it was a great price. Craft Fair and other news

W ell, it’s been a busy 2 months, trying to get all those yo yo doiles I wanted to get done before the craft fair.  Phew!  I didn’t get all of them done, but found out it was okay because it was not a busy craft fair.
